His nightclub sets are fresh and energetic with constant surprises thrown in, sure to delight. Starting out at 16 years old Deejaying Weddings & Private Parties with his Father, it seemed it was always meant to be. “I knew I wanted to do this from the beginning. It just seemed so cool to drop a new song and watch people respond …Being able to entertain people with music is such a rush”…says Platinum. “The ultimate goal is to make me people dance, nothing else matters, and while the beat has to drive the crowd I love to drop tracks that people can sing along to and let the lyrics take them on a journey as well.” From the beginning of his career as a DJ, TP has been one of the most sought after local DJ’s in Upstate NY. He has held residencies at almost every major nightclub from Albany to Saratoga along with guest spots at countess more. In the summer of 2009 he held residency at Mare Nightclub in Saratoga Springs, spinning Thursday through Saturday Night to a weekly average of 1000+ club goers from all over the world, in town to enjoy the famous Saratoga Track Horse Racing Season. From there he went on to hold residency at the brand new Dirty Martini Lounge inside the Pearl St Pub in downtown Albany on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights. Recently Tony Platinum placed in the top 40 out of 467 DJ’s from around the world in the “Who’s Spinning on Deck 10?” Contest. The Contest was to earn a spot onto the world famous Groove Cruise, a 3 day floating dance party with the biggest names in the DJ Industry on the bill.
